Preschool focuses on play-based activities and lays the foundation for future learning. Preschool provides an educational program for children in the year before starting school that supports the development of early language, literacy, numeracy and social skills.
When to enrol in Preschool
If your child turns four on or before 31 July, you may enrol your child in that year. Contact us to find out how to enrol on 4256 1405.
Enrolment is offered in the following order:
- children living within the school's enrolment area
- children living outside the school's enrolment area who have siblings already attending the school
- other children from outside the school's enrolment area.
Priority is given to children from disadvantaged backgrounds who are unable to access other children's services, in particular, families experiencing financial hardship and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children.
Documentation regarding immunisation must be supplied.
Schools accept enrolment applications from the beginning of Term 2, the year before the child starts preschool.
When the number of applications exceeds availability, parents can apply for waiting list placement. The school's placement panel will consider and prioritise these applications.
