OUR COMMITTEES
At Oak Flats Public School, your P&C association encourages an inviting, open and inclusive community.
We participate in discussions and take actions that promote and enhance a cooperative partnership between the school and the families of OFPS students.
We support fundraising initiatives throughout the school year and invest those funds into opportunities that are academically, socially, emotionally and physically beneficial for the children and school community of Oak Flats Public School.
FUNDRAISING
A number of fundraising events organised by members of the Fundraising Committee are held throughout the school year - usually two per term. Participation in these events is voluntary.
Fundraising provides much needed money the P & C uses to fund projects identified as important for the student community and to purchase additional resources for our students.
CANTEEN
The OFPS Canteen is operated by your P&C with the aim of providing high quality, healthy snacks, breakfast and lunchtime meals to the school community at reasonable cost and within the budget of most families.
We hand-make and prepare a range of lunchtime and recess menu items in the canteen each day and we follow the guidelines set out in the Fresh Taste @ School NSW Healthy School Canteen Strategy, often exceeding their requirements. Our menu is reviewed annually.
As a P&C run business, the canteen belongs to the parent body and we are always looking at ways to improve and exceed the wishes and needs of the school and parent community – your feedback is welcome – please email the OFPS Canteen.
P&C GOVERNANCE
We welcome all parents and citizens interested in improving our P&C’s governance to join the P&C committee or to provide your valued feedback.
Please email us if you want to join in the discussions or send us your ideas on how we could improve the governance of our parent body.
